Betutu chicken is cooked by boiling, but the water does not run out. Betutu chicken in Bali itself is usually cooked using a Base Genep or complete sauce.

Ayam Betutu Men Tempeh is very famous among Balinese people and tourists who come to Bali. This restaurant has been open since 1978. The location of this restaurant is on Jalan Gilimanuk, Melaya, Jembrana and is open every day from 7 am to 8 pm Central Indonesia time. The hallmark of the Betutu chicken dish here is the spicy and thick broth with long-boiled young free-range chicken which makes this menu delicious and much in demand, but if you don't like spicy food it will be less attractive. 

Apart from getting Betutu Chicken or chicken in broth, we also have some complementary foods such as Balinese special eye sauce, tomato sauce, bean sprouts and kale and fried peanuts. Every time we go there, we always order a package for 4 people. So we get a whole chicken with the complement as above, and we can also drink iced tea or hot tea. Don't forget to get 1 basket of rice which is enough for 4 people. The spicy taste and soft and not hard boiled chicken make it easier for us to chew and enjoy the food. Accompanied by vegetables and chili sauce and fried peanuts add to the appetite. 

The atmosphere in the restaurant here is very calm even though many customers come. There are many toilets provided for those of you who can't stand spicy food. So you don't have to worry about you if you have a stomach ache. Friendly and fast service seems to have become a must for all culinary business people. The location of this restaurant is very close to the beach so you can enjoy the beach from the restaurant and from the way to the location. Indeed, the location is quite far from downtown Denpasar and also the airport, but it is very close to the Gilimanuk port which is used for crossings from Bali to Java and vice versa. However, with authentic facilities, service and taste of food, it seems that distance and time are not a reason to come and come again.
